I have just completed ‘Movement 1’ of a Concerto for the Irish Harp in the Baroque style for Tríona Marshall’s forthcoming album! I’m really looking forward to hearing it. New single: The Ballad of Rosie Hackett

I’ve just finished recording and producing a new single ‘The Ballad of Rosie Hackett’, with lyrics by Councillor Dermot Lacey. It’ll be launched shortly prior to the launch of Dublin’s newest bridge, named after the union activist Rosie Hackett. Proceeds will go to the charity ALONE, founded by the wonderful Willie Bermingham. An honour to be involved!

Kiss of the Chicken King

I’m very excited about the Irish launch of ‘Kiss of the Chicken King’, a surrealist, existential theatre show by Oscar McLennan based on his novel of the same name. The show premiered at the prestigious Adelaide Theatre Festival in March and the forthcoming show will run at The Project Arts Centre, Dublin. We just launched a CD, again of the same title, that I co-produced with Gabriele Muscolino. Such a joy!

Martin to produce new Kate Crossan album

I’ve just spent six days of recording and producing Kate Crossan’s new album of traditional songs, now on to the mastering stage!! Kate is a platinum-selling vocalist from Co. Derry who has for years lived in Canada. This album is to be released in June, and features songs of emigration and place from both the Ulster and East Canadian traditions.
